Sizzling fourth quarter boosts Bull Ballin’ Brothers to victory over Cebu Gems behind Vincent Gonzales steady plays

SINGAPORE – Vincent Gonzales sparked a fourth quarter blitz and the surging Bull Ballin’ Brothers held on to Cebu Gems, 64-48, in Gilas Basketball 2017 SBP Cup at West Spring Secondary School sponsored by GB Sports LLP and Sneakers Club.

Vincent Gonzales outscored Cebu Gems all by his lonesome with 9 fourth-quarter points, as the Bull Ballin’ Brothers stormed to a 13-1 run in the last five minutes of the fourth period.

Gonzales finished the game with 18 points on 7of 10 shooting, including 3 of 5 from beyond the arc and pulled down 5 rebounds.

Ronald Madolin came up with 18 points, 3 rebounds and 7 assists while Ryan Ahulao added 7 markers, 2 boards and 2 dimes for Bull Ballin’ Brothers, who won their third game in 5 outing and finished the positioning round with 3-2 win-loss record.

Bull Ballin’ Brothers doubled the output of Cebu Gems in fast break points, 33-16. They also dominated the inside game, scoring 44 points inside the paint while Cebu Gems scored 34 points.

Warlito Tampoy led Cebu Gems with a team-high 18 points, 11 rebounds and 3 steals.

Julius Emoylan had 10 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals while Jeff Venson Vencilao came off the bench to chipped-in 8 markers and 5 rebounds for Cebu Gems, who absorbed their third loss and finished the positioning round with 2-3 win-loss record.
