Ryan Ahulao nabs another double-double as Bull Ballin’ Brothers down Tronix and advance to the finals

SINGAPORE – Ryan Ahulao came up with a double-double to power Bull Ballin’ Brothers to a 56-41 victory over Tronix in Gilas Basketball 2017 Republika Cup Playoffs at Yusof Ishak Secondary School sponsored by Lutong Pinoy.

After an anemic first half, Bull Ballin’ Brothers made a strong start in the third period. They finished the third period with an 8-point lead and continue their scoring barrage in the fourth to seal the victory.

Ahulao led the way for Bull Ballin’ Brothers with 14 points on 6 of 8 shooting, grabbed a huge 17 boards and dished out 6 assists.

Richard Pangilinan had 13 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals while Aldrin Franklin deliver 11 points and 3 assists in 29 minutes of action for Bull Ballin’ Brothers, who advance to Republika Cup Division II finals with a twice to beat advantage and will face the winner between Tronix and West Coast.

Bull Ballin’ Brothers dominated the inside game as they tallied 34 inside points while Tronix was held to 16 points inside the paint. Their suffocating defense forced Tronix to shoot 28 percent from the field as they registered 46 percent shooting.

No players form Tronix scored in double figured. Robert Salao led Tronix with 7 points and 8 rebounds.

Alvin Bajada came up with 9 markers, 3 rebounds and 2 assists while Alvin Rubio added 8 points, 2 boards, 2 assists and 2 steals fro Tronix, who move to the loser’s bracket and will face West Coasts for last seat in the Republika Cup Division II finals.
