Crime Pakners ride huge second quarter to victory over Admirals behind Reggie Guillen brilliant plays

SINGAPORE – Crime Pakners rode a huge second quarter to an 82-56 victory over the Admirals in Gilas Basketball 2017 Republika Cup at West Spring Secondary School.

Reggie Guillen showed the way for Crime Pakners, who overpowered the Mavericks 23-10 in the second quarter and bounce back to their previous loss to Greyhounds.

Guillen came up with 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.

Jonash Quingco had 16 points and 8 rebounds while Benjie Mellarpis and Michael Ladra both scored 12 points apiece for Crime Pakners, who improved to 3-1 in win-loss card.

Crime Pakners’ bench outplayed Admirals bench as they outscored them, 32-11. With an advantage on the rebounding department, Crime Pakners utilize this to have more chances in scoring and they produce 23 second chance points against 10 points by Admirals.

John Ryan Jagdon led Admirals with 16 points, 12 boards and 3 assists.

Nok Sababan added 18 points on 8 of 11 shooting and dished out 3 assists while Jay Ar Manango came off the bench to deliver 7 markers and 4 assists for Admirals, who dropped their second game and finished the Positioning Round with 3-2 record.

The Lutong Pinoy Game MVP is Reggie Guillen.
