Bull Ballin’ Brothers ride huge fourth quarter to victory over UNI behind Mark Falcis solid plays

SINGAPORE – Mark Falcis scored 13 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter to help Bull Ballin’ Brothers rally to beat UNI, 62-51, in Gilas Basketball 2017 SBP Cup at West Spring Secondary School sponsored by GB Sports LLP and Sneakers Club.

Bull Ballin Brothers came up strong in the first two quarters as they were up by eight points, 27-19 at the half. But UNI came alive in third quarter, overpowering Bull Ballin’ Brothers, 21-8 to take a 5 point lead entering the final frame.

In the last quarter, Falcis sparked a 19-4 run as Bull Ballin’ Brother regained the lead, 54-46 and they sealed this game to victory.

Falcis finished the game with 20 points and 3 rebounds in 32 minutes of action.

Richard Pangilinan came off the bench to deliver 12 points, 7 rebounds and 2 steals while fellow reserve Juancho Tiamzon chipped-in 11 markers and 5 rebounds for Bull Ballin’ Brothers, who bounce back from their previous loss to Stagmont and improved to 2-2 in win-loss card.

Bull Ballin’ Brothers dominated the inside game as they outscored UNI in points inside the paint, 42-24. Their defense held UNI to shoot poorly from the field with 28 percent while they registered 43 percent shooting.

Jeremy Goh led UNI with a double-double of 15 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals.

Jeryl Ong also had a double-double of 15 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and a block while Nelson Kong scored 9 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and registered 2 steals for UNI, who absorbed their fourth loss in 5 outings and fall to 1-4 in win-loss card.
