Both Lloyd Nogot and Joe Bals had a triple double performance, Sea II defeated SingGilas

GBL Gilas Cup 1st Conference (5’8) – Carrying a 6-man crew into the ballgame, Sea II were not going to just go down without the fight. Led by Mark Ortinez (33 points) they tried to take control early. Carrying their pressure defense to the hilt, they took control 32-14 in the first period.

Sing Gilas old backcourt reliable Louie Garimbao tried to match up with Ortinez, production wise, his own 24-point output that kept his team within striking distance. Sea II’s lead was cut down to single digits after two quarter of play.

In the second half, Sea II’s Lloyd Nogot took the driver’s control and paced his teams attack and stretched their lead by the third period. Nogot’s triple-double performance was just spectacular with an array of playmaking skills. He finished the game with 19 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists that was complemented by his teammate’s Joe Bals own triple double night (21, 10, 11). Even with SingGilas Benson Gerasta’s own 23-point explosion, Sea’s guard play was just too much as they  took away SingGilas chances stealing this game away. Sea II 94 – 73 SingGilas.
